About Me
Hi! My name is Lauren Chelli. I am from West Hartford, CT and I am currently a freshman at Penn State University. Right now, I am double majoring in French and Economics, with the possibility of add an Italian minor later. I have spent the last 13 years studying French in my hometown.
When I was a sophomore, I participated in a home stay in Bourges. I was instantly bitten with the travel bug. Since then, I have been to Canada, Scotland, England, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. I hope to return to France the spring semester of my Junior year here to study in Montpellier. I am even thinking about doing a summer semester abroad in Italy.
Currently, I am a Paterno Fellow Aspirant here at Penn State University. Hopefully, I will be able to become a Paterno Fellow and a member of the Schreyers Honors College at the end of this year. I am also heavily involved in my sorority, Alpha Xi Delta and a member of the Blue and White Society. I plan on getting even more involved next year. My goal is to be able to join a THON committee, hopefully either morale or OPP.
I love Penn State so much, and even though I am focused on my school work, I hope to give back to the community here more than they have given me. I can only hope that I will still be able to be a part of the Penn State community long after I graduate.
